Who? Me?

John 9:1-3 When we come to Christ, we receive a new identity. With this new identity, God also reveals His purpose for our lives.....and that purpose is the "GOOD WORKS," which He prepared beforehand. And what are those "GOOD WORKS?" Every one of us is born for a PURPOSE...."that the works of God should be revealed in him...." Why don't we all live out our purpose? The truth is that many do not live God's purpose for their lives. The disciples saw a man who was born with a problem.....But Jesus saw a man who was born for a purpose!! The disciples saw the condition of the (blind) man BUT Jesus saw the position (a Child of God) and the purpose of the man. I submit that many times we fail to live our God-Given PURPOSE because we see our condition and fail to see our POSITION in Christ! We see the issues in our lives and fail to see our position. This is the "Who me? Syndrome," which is the condition where we see our own deficiencies; problems; issues; short-comings and as a result, we convince ourselves that we have no worth; no value or purpose......all things GOOD are reserved for others, not for us! Read Exodus 3:11; Judges 6:15. But this is what the Lord says, 1 Corin 1:26-29...." for you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence." God has chosen the ordinary to do the EXTRA-ORDINARY! So that the works of God should be revealed through Him; you and us. Take time in prayer today to thank God that He has already chosen you for a GOOD WORK. He has a plan and a purpose for you to do. Listen to His heart so you will know what His plan is, but then get up and DO what He has called you to do!
