I don't know why Father's Day is not celebrated as much as Mother's Day. Father's Day ought to be the most important day of the year. In fact, it is the absence of a father in a home that is seen as the most important or principal cause of the modern problems we experience in society! According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. And as a result, there is 4 times greater risk of poverty; more likely to have behavioral problems; more likely to go to prison; more likely to face abuse and neglect; more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol. In light of this reality, I have come to exhort you to NEVER underestimate the importance of your calling as a father and as a man. Rise up! You play a vital role in your family and in our nation! You were created by God to be the head and not the tail. Take time in prayer today and thank God for His calling upon your life. He has called you and set you apart to be the Godly Father and Man that He created you to be.
