Romans 8:15 Fear is a fact of life! A phobia is a persistent fear of a situation, activity, or thing, that causes the sufferer to want to avoid them. A social phobia is a fear of public speaking, meeting new people, or other social situations. There are even specific phobias: Agoraphobia is the fear of open spaces; Claustrophobia, fear of closed-in spaces; Aerophobia, fear of flying; Zoophobia, fear of animals; Gamophobia, fear of commitment; Arachnophobia, fear of spiders and Astraphobia, fear of thunder and lightning. The fact is that we are surrounded by people, things, and circumstances that can bring fear into our lives. The Bible however repeatedly affirms and reaffirms that we are to FEAR NOT! Take time today and meditate on the Word of God. "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of Adoption...." Read 2 Tim 1:7, "for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Rest knowing that your Heavenly Father brings you Peace! Put your faith and trust in Him.
