Luke 10:25-37

In this parable, the man asks Jesus a question to test Him. The man was looking to discredit Jesus, he was heresy hunting! Remember, an inheritance is a gift, not something you can work for or earn. Jesus was showing this expert in the law, that if he wanted to use the law to go to heaven, then he better follow everything there, always! He would have to be perfect, and no exceptions. We, by nature, are not perfect, and we need a Savior! We can not earn our way to heaven, we need God’s gift of grace and receive salvation to go to heaven.
